Mount St. Mary Academy National Honor Society President Natalie Short joins guest speaker Jessica Gorski and new member Maria Pedini at Tuesday’s National Honor Society Induction Ceremony.
Mount St. Mary Academy inducted 29 students into the National Honor Society on March 31 at a ceremony attended by students, faculty and family. Inductees have maintained a 90 percent or higher average throughout their high school tenure and additionally have exhibited the qualities of leadership, service and character required of members of National Honor Society.
Speaking to the inductees, Associate Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator for Daemen College Jessica Gorski ’05 leadership is needed in a workforce still dominated by men.
“What I am hoping is that I am looking out at the future,” Gorski encouraged. “That you are the women who will redefine the professional world.”
New National Society inductees were presented with candles as symbols of the Society’s efforts and pins to represent their accomplishments.
The new inductees will join 42 members of the Mount St. Mary chapter of National Honor Society who strive to demonstrate leadership and service to the greater community.
