Cailey McGillicuddy, a Tonawanda resident, will be Mount St. Mary Academy’s Class of 2015 Valedictorian, and Kelsey Kwandrans of Sanborn has been named as the class’s Salutatorian. McGillicuddy and Kwandrans will be recognized at Mount St. Mary Academy’s Commencement Exercises, which will be held on May 31.
McGillicuddy has earned a 100.44 average over her four years at Mount St. Mary’s, consistently landing at the head of the class. She serves as President of the Friends of Rachel Club and was selected for Buffalo’s Business First’s 2014 All-Western New York Academic Second Team. McGillicudyy plans to attend Ithaca College. She has received over $720,000 in scholarship offers.
Kwandrans has achieved a 98.67 average, receiving First Honors recognition throughout her high school career. She is a four year student council officer and will attend SUNY Geneseo. Kwandrans received more than $326,000 in scholarship offers.
Mount St. Mary Academy will graduate its 84nd class on May 31, 2015. Collectively, the class has received over $17 million in scholarships from colleges and universities throughout the country. The ceremony will be held in the school’s auditorium, and the class will be addressed by Eileen Buckley, award-winning radio news reporter for WBFO.
