Chrysalis Ticket Options

How will the event run this year?

All of us at Mount St. Mary Academy understands that the Omicron Covid variant is continuing to cause stress and concern in our community. While we are hosting this year’s Chrysalis in person at The Wurlitzer on March 12, 2022, we do understand that some might feel more comfortable staying home and participating virtually. We also recognize that we have generous supporters who live outside of WNY and would like to contribute. The Development Team at MSM has made the decision to turn Chrysalis 2022 into a hybrid event.

Guests who purchase Chrysalis Event Tickets have one of three options:

  1. Attend the Chrysalis Gala in person
  2. Pick up their meals from The Wurlitzer on March 12th
  3. Have a Buffalo themed CityMade basket shipped right to your house

Thanks to our mobile bidding service it’s easy for anyone with a cell phone to participate from wherever they are. All guests will receive a bidder number to participate in auction bidding. Our out-of-town guests will receive the City Made basket before the event and any items purchased during the auction will be shipped to you directly. Virtual attendees living in the WNY area may also choose to have a basket shipped in place of meals and will be contacted after the auction to arrange pick up of any items won.

The Fun Extras

What is the Fund-an-Item and how can I support it?

Just like last year, we are raising our paddles for the Chrysalis Grant. Mount St. Mary Academy has long had financial support programs in place to attract and retain students with significant and emergent financial needs within our community. While we will continue to support those programs, the intent of this grant is a little different. Our goal is to help families that are almost there; families that need just a small amount of support to cover the $13,000 cost of an MSM education.

We know that in order to ensure their daughters receive the gift of an MSM education, many of our families make daily financial sacrifices; sacrifices that can, at times, feel too heavy. The worry and anxiety is real as families cobble together monthly tuition payments while managing all of their other financial responsibilities.

Somehow, though, our families keep finding ways to make an MSM education possible. They have demonstrated their dedication to our students’ success here by doing whatever it takes. Now, more than ever, it’s crucial to honor that commitment and reciprocate in every way possible so we can further empower the young changemakers who walk our halls every day.

The Chrysalis Grant will help each student in our care bloom even more fully and will additionally support our prospective and transfer families that see Mount as a wonderful opportunity for their daughter while easing their worry a bit about how a Catholic education can be possible.
