The Fun Extras

What is the Fund-an-Item and how can I support it?
Just like last year, we are raising our paddles for the Chrysalis Grant. Mount St. Mary Academy has long had financial support programs in place to attract and retain students with significant and emergent financial needs within our community. While we will continue to support those programs, the intent of this grant is a little different. Our goal is to help families that are almost there; families that need just a small amount of support to cover the $13,000 cost of an MSM education.

We know that in order to ensure their daughters receive the gift of an MSM education, many of our families make daily financial sacrifices; sacrifices that can, at times, feel too heavy. The worry and anxiety is real as families cobble together monthly tuition payments while managing all of their other financial responsibilities.

Somehow, though, our families keep finding ways to make an MSM education possible. They have demonstrated their dedication to our students’ success here by doing whatever it takes. Now, more than ever, it’s crucial to honor that commitment and reciprocate in every way possible so we can further empower the young changemakers who walk our halls every day.

The Chrysalis Grant will help each student in our care bloom even more fully and will additionally support our prospective and transfer families that see Mount as a wonderful opportunity for their daughter while easing their worry a bit about how a Catholic education can be possible.

Gift Gathering Parties

A gift-gathering party is a wonderful way to support our Chrysalis Auction. A gift-gathering party offers friends of Mount St. Mary Academy an opportunity to mix and mingle with fellow supporters of the school. Each guest is asked to bring a donation to the party or dinner. Gifts are usually displayed, thus giving the guests a sneak preview of items that will be up for bid on auction night.

Host a party for your classmates and friends! To host a gift gathering party, please contact Coordinator of Development & Special Events, Alexis Arth, at (716) 877-1358 ext. 304 or email
