The Mount St. Mary Academy Drama Club will perform its rendition of the play Our Hearts were Young and Gay on Friday and Saturday, March 22 and 23.
The play follows the story of two unchaperoned teenaged girls who take a trip full of adventures – and misadventures – to Europe in the 1920s. The cast is led by Mount St. Mary seniors Abigail Bradley, who will play Cornelia Skinner, an aspiring actress venturing to Paris to study acting under a French actor, and Grace Young, who will play Cornelia’s best friend, Emily Kimbrough.
The show will be led by Director Elise Beamer, Producer Eden Ruh and Stage Manager Lily McGraw, all Mount St. Mary seniors. The Mount St. Mary Academy Drama Club is an entirely student-run club with guidance from moderator and teacher Ms. Rebecca Cefaratti.
The show will be performed in the Mount St. Mary auditorium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. both nights.
Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the door before the show or in the school’s Main Office in the days leading up to the performances during business hours.
