“We make scents” was the tagline for 15 Mount St. Mary students who presented their aromatics business at the Virtual Enterprises Youth Business Summit in New York this weekend. Putting their business sense on display, the team presented their virtual company before a panel of internationally-recognized entrepreneurs, finishing in the top 16 teams in the nation.
The team received gold awards in the categories of Product Catalog and International Trade Show Presentation.
Enviroscentals was founded by students in MSM’s Academy Scholars program as a hands-on lesson in business planning and management. Students brainstormed and strategized to develop a line of virtual environmentally-friendly aromatic products that can be used at home and in the workplace.
This was the company’s third trip to the National finals. They were the only all-female team to compete.
