Things are undeniably difficult for most folks right now, but that hasn’t stopped the thoughtfulness of our students at Mount St. Mary. This week, freshman Jenna Capolupo decided to put her art skills and compassionate nature together to create encouraging thank you cards for some local essential workers.
The North Tonawanda Police Department would like to thank Jenna C. for stopping by the station today with her parents to…
“I realized it’s hard to be positive throughout a time as rough as this, and watching the nurses and everyone on the news just made me feel extremely emotional,” Jenna said. “I’m the girl who always wants to help others out, no matter the situation, so I decided to help brighten some of the faces of workers as they fight for all of our lives to go back to normal by making cards.”
Jenna said she thought baked goods and sweets are nice to give out (and she did that, too!) but cards were more effective in expressing her gratitude for the folks she was looking to shine some light on. She made cards for the North Tonawanda fire and police departments, a group of paramedics and some for hospital workers.
Thanks for sharing Christ’s love with your neighbors, Jenna!
