What does it take to be a successful entrepreneur in today’s day and age? These Mounties know! Members of the Academy Scholars participated in the Virtual Enterprises International northeastern regional competition, presenting their business, EnviroScentals Inc.
MSM won first place in the categories of Business Plan, Salesmanship, and Catalog, and second place in Impact Marketing. Their success has earned the team a berth at the international competition in New York City in April.
With an emphasis on college and career readiness, Virtual Enterprises International is an in-school, live, global business simulation that offers students a competitive edge through project-based, collaborative learning and the development of 21st-century skills in entrepreneurship, global business, problem solving, communication, personal finance and technology. Student teams create a business plan for a virtual company, perform market analysis and operate their company overseeing all tasks ranging from human resources to sales.
MSM is the only all-girls team in the region, and ranks as one of the top 10 teams in the country.
