The Class of 2019 graduated from Mount St. Mary Academy on Sunday, June 2. The valedictorian of the graduating class was North Tonawanda resident Leah Gath, who earned a 100.00 average throughout her career at MSM. The salutatorian, Sarah Herr, is a resident of the Town of Tonawanda who earned a 99.80 average during her high school years. Leah will attend Hofstra University in the fall, while Sarah will attend the University of Dayton.
The commencement speaker was Jo Clubb, an applied sports scientist at the Buffalo Bills. Clubb uses her skills to support the coaches and athletes in their training, while working alongside her peers to break down barriers for women in the world of professional sports. She encouraged the Mount St. Mary graduates to be confident in themselves and their abilities to meet their goals.
What an incredible day! We are blessed to have known and loved these 88 graduates in the Mount St. Mary Academy Class of 2019. We are now honored to have these young women as representatives of our school community out in the world as MSM alumnae.
