Three Mount St. Mary Academy students in the entrepreneurship program, Academy Scholars, built a business around something they shared: their families had each been touched by Alzheimer’s disease. Their profits, they decided, would go toward the fight against Alzheimer’s.

Now seniors, Clarice Scarpace, Amelia Waddell and Amanda Ackley have been working on creating their cognitive coloring book called Forget Me Not since September 2016. The book is designed in an attempt to help individuals with Alzheimer’s remember different parts of their lives. It holds coloring pages, word searches and imaginative journal entry pages all created by these three young ladies.

In September 2018, these entrepreneurs went to the Walk To End Alzheimer’s event in Buffalo along with some classmates and friends, helping to raise funds to support the Alzheimer’s Association. The event brought together over 4,000 people who collectively raised over $437,000.

The books recently came back from the printers and are $8 each.
