
Straight off the stage of Broadway’s hottest revival, Bethany Moore visited Mount St. Mary Academy on Monday to teach a Master Class in stage presence and dance. The Class was available to all Mounties who were interested in a learning about Broadway theater.
Moore taught the Mounties a combination from Pippin, in which she currently appears 8 times a week as a chorus member and understudy to Catherine. Moore taught major aspects of Fosse’s characteristic choreography, providing background and stage tips.
Moore, a graduate of SUNY Buffalo (2007), made her Broadway debut in Spider-Man. Shortly thereafter she appeared in the Public Theater’s Into the Woods (Florinda, u/s Witch) and is currently a member of the TONY Award Winning cast of PIPPIN (Player, u/s Catherine). After teaching at MSM, Moore appeared in “An Evening of Song and Story with Bethany Moore” at the New Phoenix Theater sponsored by Second Generation Theatre. SGT co-founder Kelly Jakiel Copps (MSM Class of 2004) teaches dance and musical theater at Mount St. Mary Academy.
