Broadway Actress

Straight off the stage of Broadway’s hottest revival, Bethany Moore visited Mount St. Mary Academy on Monday to teach a Master Class in stage presence and dance. The Class was available to all Mounties who were interested in a learning about Broadway theater.

Moore taught the Mounties a combination from Pippin, in which she currently appears 8 times a week as a chorus member and understudy to Catherine. Moore taught major aspects of Fosse’s characteristic choreography, providing background and stage tips.

Moore, a graduate of SUNY Buffalo (2007), made her Broadway debut in Spider-Man. Shortly thereafter she appeared in the Public Theater’s Into the Woods (Florinda, u/s Witch) and is currently a member of the TONY Award Winning cast of PIPPIN (Player, u/s Catherine). Touring shows include A Chorus Line (Judy); Cats ( Bombalurina) and some of her favorite shows include The Producers (Ulla); Drowsy Chaperone (Janet);  and Urinet own (Hope) at Musicalfare Theatre in Buffalo, NY.

After teaching at MSM, Moore appeared in “An Evening of Song and Story with Bethany Moore” at the New Phoenix Theater sponsored by Second Generation Theatre. SGT co-founder Kelly Jakiel Copps (MSM Class of 2004) teaches dance and musical theater at Mount St. Mary Academy.
