The World Languages program cultivates an awareness and understanding of other languages and cultures in order to broaden an individual’s world perspective and to promote personal growth. With learner-centered classrooms that emphasize a communicative approach, our teachers promote interest in the literature, culture and language of foreign countries and relate it to other courses that students are studying. Students develop cross-cultural skills and understanding through studies of readings, movies, lectures, music and customs.
