Administrative positions

 

Development Assistant

Mount St. Mary Academy, an all-girls Catholic high school in Buffalo, NY serving grades 9-12, seeks a Development Assistant to provide some administrative support for the Development Office.  He/ she will serve as the main liaison to the the Academy’s  Alumnae Board, maintain the alumnae communications, support the department with alumnae and development special events, while also maintaining the department’s database and assisting with development tasks for the school.

This position is a ten month administrative position. 

Knowledge, skills and abilities: strong writing and event planning skills; keen attention to detail; ability to work collaboratively with others; ability to form positive relationships with alumnae, students, staff, volunteers, and others stakeholders; ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet tight deadlines. Able to work some nights/weekends when needed. Graphic design skills a plus.

Requirements: Bachelors degree in communications or 1-3 years experience in events management or alumni/development work desired. Knowledge of fundraising & donor management software (Raiser’s Edge) preferred.

Main Office Assistant

Mount St. Mary Academy, an all-girls Catholic high school in Buffalo, NY serving grades 9-12, seeks a part-time Administrative Assistant in the school’s Main Office. He/ she will welcome visitors, answer and direct phone calls, assist with attendance, attend to main office tasks, and support other daily administrative needs to help the school function smoothly.

This position is a ten month administrative position 7:00 am – 11:00 am weekdays.

The successful candidate has solid computer skills, shows excellent attention to detail, has an ability to work independently, can multi-task and demonstrates a willingness to participate in projects.Previous work in a school environment is considered an asset. Must have strong interpersonal skills and uphold strict confidentiality.
