Emily Ngo, a Niagara Falls resident, will be Mount St. Mary Academy’s Class of 2017 Valedictorian, and Juliet Gay of Clarence has been named as the class’s Salutatorian. Ngo and Gay will be recognized at Mount St. Mary Academy’s Commencement Exercises, which will be held on June 4.

Ngo has earned a 99.21 average over her four years at Mount St. Mary, consistently landing at the head of the class. As an officer of the student-run business Sweet Fortunes, she has represented the United States at the SAGE Global Cup in Seoul, South Korea and in Manila, Philippines. Ngo plans to attend George Washington University. She has received over $480,000 in scholarship offers.

Gay has achieved a 99.01 average, receiving First Honors recognition throughout her high school career. Gay is the president of MSM’s Mock Trial team and will study history at Hillsdale College. She has received more than $180,000 in scholarship offers.

Mount St. Mary Academy will graduate its 86th class on June 4, 2017. Collectively, the class has received over $16 million in scholarships from colleges and universities throughout the country. The ceremony will be held in the school’s auditorium, and the class will be addressed by Tara Karch Cross ’95, a partner at Gibson, McAskill & Crosby, LLP.
